Why We Golf

We golf for the laughs, the friendships, and the cause behind it all. While our annual outing brings everyone together for a fun day on the course, it also supports something much bigger.

For years, Darlene Niemi bravely battled blood cancer. Unfortunately, she lost her battle to cancer this year (2026). With her no longer with us, she would want us to continue on the tradition in partnering with Blood Cancer United Foundation, so other patients like Darlene have the incredible support, resources, and community provided by the foundation. Their impact has meant so much to our family, and this outing is our way of giving back.

By coming together each year, we’re able to turn a day of golf into something meaningful—raising funds and awareness for the Blood Cancer United Foundation, and supporting the mission that has helped someone we love.
